MICRO-PIGMENTATION
Scar Camouflage Procedure
Who is Micro Pigmentation for?
Micropigmentation is for patients who have skin discolouration from accidents, illnesses or birth defects, including:
Birthmarks
Stretch marks
Hypopigmented (lighter-coloured) spots
“Café au lait” spots
Port-wine stains
Scars from cosmetic surgeries such as facelifts and tummy tucks
Burn scars
Scars from trauma, illness, or other surgeries
Raised scars that have no discolouration but still require improvement in texture and appearance
Stretch Marks
Over a series of treatments, our technician will work to implant natural pigments into the tissue, improving the color and visibility of the stretch marks. This service can be done on all skin tones.
Birth Marks
Paramedical Micro-Pigmentation is safe for all types of birthmarks. Though birthmarks can vary in forms such as cafe-au-lait spots and port wine stains among others, any of these vascular or pigmented birthmarks can be improved no matter where they are located. A customized pigment is specially blended to match natural skin tones and then applied to the birthmark over a series of treatments that build the desired pigment in the skin and allow for a camouflaged result.
Surgical Scars
At Camouflage Skin Fx we understand that the more satisfied you are with the way you look, the more likely you will be able to heal the unseen emotional scars associated with your trauma. The Paramedical Micro-Pigmentation treatment is designed to help with all types of scars and discolorations ranging from burns, puncture wounds, surgical scars, and more. A unique pigment is created for and matched to each patient based on their natural skin color. Scars begin to blend with the rest of the skin after several sessions. The best candidates are those with medium to fair toned skin.
Burns
The treatment of burns is a two-part process. Burn scar tissue, of any degree or severity, often leads to both discolored skin and thickened tissue so our unique technique addresses both factors to help the healing process. The dry needling technique is applied to help break down the thickened scar tissue and smooth the damaged skin, then the Paramedical Micro-Pigmentation implantation is applied to correct the color to return it to its normal pigment.

Right after the treatment the area we work on is going to be red and raised, almost like scratches. A topical healing ointment is applied to soothe the skin and provide a barrier while healing takes place. Recovery time from each treatment is quick and typically takes a few days. Depending on each case, you may require 1 or 2 sessions or a series of treatments in order to attain the best results. You can expect to see improved colour tone and healed results in about 30 days. Depending on the condition of the skin, the results will last between 1 and 5 years and can be retouched.
You deserve to look your best, so you can feel your best.

• For optimum results scars need to be fully healed (approximately 6 months to one year old), with no open sores or redness. It is also best to perform micropigmentation on untanned skin. This will allow us to better match your natural skin pigmentation. As with any procedure of this nature, individual results may vary.
